GDTech Engineering recently took part in an economic mission to Bavaria, Germany, to explore one of Europe’s most dynamic ecosystems in the Defense and Aerospace sectors.
During this mission, our representative had the opportunity to discover the many strengths of the Bavarian region:
- a strong concentration of European and global leading companies;
- the presence of Research and Technology Organizations as well as renowned universities;
- cutting-edge expertise in the Defense and Aerospace sectors;
- a strong ambition for European reindustrialisation and sovereignty.
The presence of Walloon Minister-President Adrien Dolimont also provided an opportunity to exchange with several major industry players, including MBDA Deutschland, OHB SE, Rheinmetall, HENSOLDT and the Bundeswehr University Munich.
During these meetings, GDTech had the opportunity to present its engineering services and expertise in advanced simulations. These discussions generated strong interest in the capabilities developed by our teams.
This mission was organised by the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX) and Wallonia-Brussels International. GDTech would also like to thank Skywin and Pôle MecaTech for showcasing the strengths of Walloon companies, as well as all participants for the quality of the exchanges throughout these three days.
The mission enabled the establishment of new contacts and opened up opportunities for future collaboration. The next steps will consist of pursuing the discussions initiated during the mission and turning these opportunities into concrete collaborations.
