CophydisComposite Pressure Vessels for Hydrogen Storage – Defect Inspection and Simulation

GDTech is a research partner in the COPHYDIS project (Agreement No. 8937), carried out under the COOTECH initiative as part of the FEDER 2021–2027 programme.

The project focuses on developing advanced modelling methods for high-pressure composite hydrogen storage vessels while improving defect detection through shearography.

Project Objective

Develop advanced simulation methodologies for composite hydrogen storage vessels and enhance defect detection using shearography.

GDTech's Contribution

  • Advanced modelling of composite pressure vessels (axisymmetric and full 3D models)
  • Shearography modelling and simulation
  • Burst simulation of high-pressure hydrogen storage vessels
