Contextof the role
As part of its development, GDTech France is recruiting a Mechanical design draughtsman (M/F) for its Engineering and Digital Services Department, who will be based at the customer’s site in Pau (Bordes – 64).
For more than 20 years, GDTech has been supporting major contractors and manufacturers with their development and industrialization challenges. Our expertise ranges from combustion to fluid dynamics and thermal engineering, across a wide range of industries (aeronautics, energy). We are also particularly active in R&D projects, whether as a leader, partner, or subcontractor, and work closely with various laboratories that are experts in their fields (testing, numerical codes)
Descriptionof the role
As a key player in the growing diversification of GDTech France’s activities, your responsibilities will focus on the development of various products, with a major component in an aeronautical environment focused on future thermal (SAF, H2), electric, and hybrid propulsion systems.
As part of a team of designers and engineers, you will be involved in the development of the business and will work closely with them under the direct responsibility of the head of the Thermal Mechanical Design Group in the Engineering and Digital Simulation Department at GDTech France.
In this role, you will be required to:
– Carry out design and drafting work, functional dimensioning and tolerancing studies.
– Perform and contribute to functional analyses.
– Carry out mechanical studies (static, loading, isostatic, etc.), simple material strength studies, and technical studies (design to cost, function integration, assemblies, ergonomics, etc.).
– Analyze and research technical solutions, taking into account production, integration, and maintenance constraints.
– Provide support in drafting technical and commercial proposals.
– Participate in technical meetings with customers.
– Contribute your skills to R&D projects focused on product development
Profiledesired
You have a two- or three-year technical degree (BTS/BUT) or a professional bachelor’s degree with at least two years of experience as a design draughtsman in a design office. You are comfortable with design, drafting, and ISO GPS functional dimensioning. You are proficient in CATIA V5, in the 3D design, assembly, and drafting modules.
Experience in product development would be a plus.
A good understanding of English is desirable.
