Contextof the role
As a designer, you’ll be able to unleash your creativity! The designer is actively involved from the start of the project. They analyze the specifications and interact with the client to fully understand the need. They project their vision into a 3D model, keeping in mind the environment in which the future part will operate, and the most suitable manufacturing (machining, molding, forming…) and assembly methods to best meet the demand. Once the 3D concept/model is accepted, they create the 2D plans and define the functional tolerances, which, if necessary, may lead them to collaborate with external providers such as suppliers and machinists, right up until the part is received.
Descriptionof the role
You will be required to use the following software:
- CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks (CAD software)
- Office Suite (office software)
Knowledge of these software programs, as well as English, are assets. However, we understand that as a recent graduate, you may not have fully acquired these skills yet.
To facilitate your integration into the team, we therefore offer training and the support of our existing team members!
Over time, you will be assigned projects to evolve towards more comprehensive responsibility for them, including client and/or team management.
- BACHELOR’S DEGREE or INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER, mechanical specialization
- Meticulous and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Interested in mechanical engineering
